Heart disease is both a <em>lifestyle<\/em> and <em>diet<\/em> problem. The most current research points to <strong>inflammation<\/strong>, not cholesterol, as the <strong>cause<\/strong> for most heart disease. But based on current medical procedures this information is <em>totally ignored<\/em>. Probably the biggest reason that this information is ignored is that <strong>pharmaceutical<\/strong> <strong>companies<\/strong> <strong>drive<\/strong> most <strong>medical research<\/strong> and thus <strong>medical procedures<\/strong>. Pharmaceutical companies are <em>multibillion-dollar enterprises<\/em> that primarily fund and direct medical practice. Pharmaceutical companies are looking after their <strong><em>bottom line<\/em><\/strong> not necessarily your <strong><em>health<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.keefeclinic.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/aaa-framingham_sign_crop.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-1140 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.keefeclinic.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/aaa-framingham_sign_crop-300x239.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Keefe, Keefe Clinic. In fact it has\u00a0been said that <strong><em>every cholesterol study for the past 50 years has failed<\/em><\/strong>. The <strong>Framingham study<\/strong> is the <em>longest-running study<\/em> on heart disease and diet. It has found that over the age of 45 people who have a <em>higher cholesterol level <u>outlive<\/u> the people who have a lower cholesterol level.<\/em> You might want <strong>to read that statement<\/strong> one more time. <strong>Cholesterol<\/strong> is a <strong>bystander<\/strong> in the coronary heart disease epidemic. <strong>Inflammation<\/strong> and other factors <strong>damage<\/strong> the lining of the blood vessel. White blood cells sensing the damage enter in to the damaged area and pull in cholesterol, calcium and laydown fibrin in an attempt to heal the damage. Because the factors that are driving the inflammation continue the corresponding plaque builds up over time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.keefeclinic.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/burning-stomach-leaky-gut-syndrome.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-652 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.keefeclinic.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/burning-stomach-leaky-gut-syndrome-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Keefe, Keefe Clinic. Yes they can reduce cholesterol numbers with drugs but as the Framingham study indicates that just <strong>increases<\/strong> the patient\u2019s risk of <strong>death<\/strong>. Let\u2019s just cover some of the common medical procedures. First we\u2019ll talk about <strong>balloons and stents<\/strong>: in 2003 the <strong>Mayo Clinic<\/strong> found that these procedures <strong>did not<\/strong> <em>reduce complaints, did not prevent heart attacks, did not prolong life, did not reduce the frequency of heart attacks or deaths<\/em> and the flattening of plaque in the vessel walls not only regularly lead to bleeding into the vessel walls but small lumps became detached and floated into the bloodstream causing <em>acute heart attack<\/em>. <strong>The bottom line is stents increased death rates.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.keefeclinic.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/694940094001_1039381710001_Heart-ECG.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1684 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.keefeclinic.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/694940094001_1039381710001_Heart-ECG.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Keefe, Keefe Clinic. Tulsa Chiropractor, pain, natural health care.\" width=\"252\" height=\"142\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Stents cause higher death rate<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>New England Journal of Medicine, Cindy L Grines, M.D. Beaumont cardiologist<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Worldwide study involve 900 patients at 62 centers<\/strong>. All patients in the study were treated within 12 hours of the heart attack. A higher death rate (2.4% stent and angioplasty versus 2.7% angioplasty) they also unexpectedly experienced decreased blood flow from stent placements. Dr. Grines says \"<em>the higher mortality rate and decrease in blood flow makes it necessary for additional research to be conducted before routine stenting can be recommended as a standard of care.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>It appears no one is studying the research.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although <strong>catheterization and stents<\/strong> have been claimed to be life-saving measures, <strong><em><u>they do not prevent heart attacks or save lives<\/u><\/em><\/strong>. This intervention is accompanied by a great placebo effect. Conclusions....
