IN THE NEWS: Superbugs deploy ‘decoy flares’ like fighter jets to avoid being killed by antibiotics Scientists have discovered an astonishing new strategy deployed by superbugs in their evolutionary struggle with antibiotics – decoy “flares” which distract the drugs that would otherwise kill them. About a third of MRSA bacteria, which kill thousands of people across the world, are largely immune to the current antibiotic of last resort. The rise of antibiotic resistance is causing increasing alarm with the prospect of a return to the days when a minor cut in the garden could be fatal and major operations were impossible because of the risk of infection. NOTE: I remember when this was front page news on the Journal of American medicine 30 years ago. Some of the suggestions then was to take prescription rights away from the average medical doctor because they were overprescribing antibiotics even for things like viruses which every 1st year medical student knew was ineffective. Now 30 years later very little change has taken place and the epidemic, that was warned about 30 years ago, is beginning. If you have a urinary tract infection try a natural approach 1st, if you have bronchitis don’t use an antibiotic the same goes with sinus infections 70% of those are yeast related. If you don’t protect yourself then you won’t be protected in a high percentage of the cases. Bacteria cannot develop resistance to natural methods like they do to antibiotics.

CHIROPRACTIC: Chiropractic Studies and Research 1. Sciatica The European Spine Journal published the findings from a clinical trial last year uncovering how chiropractic adjustments resulted in a 72 percent success rate in treating sciatica and related symptoms compared to the 20 percent success from physical therapy and 50 percent from corticosteroid injections.. 2. Colic and Ear Infections A 2012 study published in Journal of Manipulative Physiological Therapeutics found that chiropractic adjustments greatly reduced colic symptoms. Although very few randomized control trials have been conducted describing the clinical effects of chiropractic care on children, literally scores of case studies have been documented that describe how children suffering from otitis media (ear infections), acid reflux and colic have experienced complete to near complete resolution after just a few visits. 3. Neurological Conditions Exciting research is currently being conducted via upright MRI showing how upper cervical adjustments affect various brain-based conditions.
