IN THE NEWS:    Natural ways to treat poison ivy, other rashes The “Medicine Hunter” Chris Kilham told FoxNews.com that it’s an allergen found in these plants called urushiol that causes the irritation. Coming into contact with the leaves, especially if they are broken or torn, allows urushiol to seep into your system and cause the uncomfortable breakouts. For those that come into contact with these plants, try the following solutions to help relieve irritation: - Take liquid of witch hazel and apply it to the irritated area. This product can be found at any drugstore and it can help reduce the itching. - A product called Tecnu makes soaps and gels to combat urushiol. After applying it to the affected area, it lifts the allergen out of the cells of your skin, stops the spread, and reduces the irritation. - If you live near the beach, go into the ocean and gently rub sand it into the area and allow the salt water to wash away the urushiol.

CHIROPRACTIC YOUR BRAIN a recent study of CAT scans of brains of patients with neck problems and one’s without showed a decrease in oxygen in patients with neck problems. Besides subluxations (misalignments) the loss of the normal cervical curve is becoming epidemic due to neck injuries from sports, car accidents and slip and falls. This can compromise blood flow to the brain and thus reduce oxygen. This can be precursors for dementia and Alzheimer’s as well as causing issues like concentration problems, memory and focus. Keep your brain healthy stay regular with chiropractic treatments.

FUNNY BONES: A Maryland couple is suing their realtor because they say the agent knew the home was infested with snakes, but sold it to them anyway. In fairness, what the realtor said was the place definitely didn't have any mice. Seth Meyers @@@ A new report says that 80 percent of sunscreens either don't work or have questionable ingredients. In a related story, I don't have long to live. Conan O'Brien @@@ A man in Virginia went into a bank. He didn't have a weapon and he wasn't wearing a mask. He just had a nice note that said, "I really need you to give me some money, please." And they gave it to him. Police call it robbery. He says it wasn't. I'm with the bank robber on this. If it was illegal to politely ask for things you don't deserve, I would not be the host of "The Late Late Show." James Corden
